Mega guide to the scenes and happenings of 'Ape Foo Young' By Qyzzy Kong Before you begin: This is INCOMPLETE, meaning I haven't got around to finishing it yet. I may never get around to finishing it, so I decided to post it and get back to it later if I have time. Just for now I am working on bigger and better things, so don't expect a completed version soon! - Qyzzy Donkey Kong Country: notes, by Qyzzy Kong All notes regarding episode: 'Ape Foo Young' K. Rool, Klaptraps, Bluster, Baby DK, Youthful Cranky, Mini K. Rool My first Donkey Kong Country episode scripted! ============================================== 1/ Opening scene - Inside Cranky's Cabin, you can see the pipe organ, the CC case, a totem pole and Cranky himself staring at the door as someone is about to barge in... Klump, K. Rool's General, kicks the door open and Cranky is wide-eyed with shock. Looking around, Cranky sees a Kritter to his left, a Kritter to his right, and there in front of him stands General Klump! As if that wasn't bad enough, K. Rool struts in, casually yapping away, staring Cranky down. Unphased, Cranky (it looks like) signals with his fingers for K. Rool to 'bring it on'. Cranky then makes a defiant 'oh I'm sooo scared' face and K. Rool states his intents as the door closes behind him. The focus shifts off K. Rool to Klump, who doesn't look as supremely confident as his kommander. However he bares his teeth in an evil grin as Cranky is hung on a hat-rack by his vest. Cranky struggles, kicking his arms and legs around and shouting at the lizards, but to no avail. As the view slides across to the left, K. Rool holds his out around the encased Crystal Coconut, thinking it was his at last. Suddenly, K. Rool hears a noise outside! He looks at the door and sees it rattling! As the view shifts to an overhead camera shot, the four cretacious creeps standing around the coconut make a dash for a hiding spot, leaving Cranky hanging from the big golden DK statue (hat-rack :P). Looking worried, K. Rool hides just to the right of the doorway, his back pressed against the wall. Then, with an air of authority, DK 'gently' opens the double doors with his right foot, Diddy standing next to him, to the left (the view is from the inside of the cabin). As the duo walk inside, it is brought to our attention that K. Rool was hit by the door (everyone remember King Kut-out?;) ~ K. Rool wobbles a bit, then falls over thin as a sheet, leaving only a framed wooden panel on screen. Donkey and Diddy walk over towards Cranky, not noticing the sneeky Kritter hiding behind a pole. They apparently don't see Cranky either, as they walk straight past him and to the cupboards and fridge at the other side of the room! DK opens the fridge while Diddy inspects Cranky's cupboard, causing books and glass science equipment to fall out onto the floor. One of the flasks rolls over near the pipe organ, behind which Klump and Kritter are taking cover. The krooks start sneaking off to get away from the Kongs as Cranky continues to rave. The fleeing crocks tread on their 'flat mate' on the way out of Cranky's Cabin, and another Kritter steps on him too as he leaves. Still flat as a pancake, K. Rool gets up and waddles his way through the doorway and outside without even being noticed by DK or Dids! Freeing himself from the piled up up contents of Cranky's cupboard, Diddy holds in his right hand Cranky's old vacuum cleaner. Having got what they came for, the two buddies walked off, DK dragging the red vacuum behind him. Feeling really annoyed, Cranky, who was STILL hanging by his vest throws his cane at the crystal coconut's blue spherical case. The case opens, theb the inner 'husk' splits apart to reveal the glowing prize, and a ghostly gorilla hoverring above it! The ghost looks like Donkey Kong, but without his quiff, he is also wearing a pair of spectacles and Cranky's vest! Then he and Cranky have a conversation, and Cranky falls to the ground, finally free of the hook-like golden banana. Then they continue their chat, Cranky lying on the floor from his fall. The ape apparition then vanishes with a flash and Cranky gets up slowly. Once back on his feet, Cranky turns to his right where the simian spectre reappeared. Following another quick conferance, Cranky hides the CC from the camera's view by his lab with three taps on the ground from his staff. The floating figment, who now has Cranky's stick, watches on as Cranky moves some apparatus around. Then vanishing, the stick he had falls to the ground with a small clatter, causing the crystal coconut to become covered once more. Using some odd ingredients, Cranky whips up a quick potion and procedes to drink it without hesitation. As the red liquid starts to take effect, sparkles ungulf the alarmed ape Cranky Kong. So after a big flash of light, Cranky picked up his walking stick and walked off looking and feeling like a younger primate 2/ Inside DK's Domain/Kongo Condo/Ape Abode Diddy is sitting in DK's tyre swing as Donkey examines the old-style external bag vac. In stylish white lettering on the left side, it says "It's good to be... ?". As Donkey Kong pushes the switch, the machine splutters and comes to life. Then it starts zooming around the room, with DK running behind, desperately tring to hold on to it. Eventually, after a few laps of the room, the vacuum & DK knock Diddy swinging and spinning around on the tyre swing. Soon after this, the vacuum pulls DK through the wall and off the balcony! Diddy looks over the edge to see Donkey Kong stuck head first in the sand way down below, the deactivated, maybe broken, vacuum cleaner lying face down next to DK, who was moving his legs around in the air. 3/ K. Rool's cave - Camera zooms through a barron clearing towards the creepy face shaped cave enterance to K. Rool's lair... K. Rool is pointing out separate parts of Kongo Bongo island to General Klump. He has a drawn up map of the island on an easel which he uses to direct his troops when plotting his vile schemes. Suddenly, the youthful Cranky bursts through the roof of the cave and lands close to K. Rool. He gets too cocky though and challenges the king to a fight, holding up his fists in a ready stance. Seeing this, Klump pushes a button on his control panel, which makes an elevator behind Cranky rise up, and on it are three armed Kritters! Knowing he's out numbered, Cranky puts up no fight while the Kremling kreeps escort him back down the circular elevator pad, and to a dismal jail cell. 4/ Cranky's house - Diddy and Donkey go back to Cranky's to return his vac. DK checks the fridge again and finds a red potion! Diddy warns him not to drink it, but DK does anyway. Annoyed by his buddy, Diddy turns and leaves in a huff... and doesn't notice the flash of light behind him! 5/ DK's house - Back in DK's house, Diddy does a cartwheel, and DK, who is a baby now, hops after him playfully. This is when Diddy first realizes what the potion did, and that this is DK! 6/ K. Rool's cave - King K. Rool's video monitor displays Cranky locked in a cell deep within an underground jail. Cranky is pacing up and down, planning an escape and waiting for the right time to execute his plan. He walks up to the camera and yells something. 7/ DK's house - Baby DK does dance, Diddy & Candy watch. DK finds photo of Candy. 8/ K. Rool's cave - Klump and some Kritters are marching proudly across the factory. Then the camera goes up and... Woohoo! Cranky escaped, and he's in a mine cart high above the ground holding the metal file he used to break out! As the troops are passing below him, he throws the file over his left shoulder, then looks down in time to see it hit General Klump on top of his head! Lucky for him he wears a helmet. Klump looks up and sees Cranky cruising overhead in his minecart, so he and the Kritters dash off quickly. Up on the rails, Cranky thinks he's home free, but then on the track ahead of him he sees another cart heading straight at him! He looks behind too, but he's trapped by another cart! He braces himself for the crash and the two carts hit his at the same time. As they hit, there comes a bright flash from inside Cranky's cart, and - Uh oh... Cranky's back to normal again! He put his hands in the air as the Kritters aim their guns at him. They take him back down to where K. Rool is, for an interrogation of sorts... 9/ Vine forest - Diddy is swinging on some vines, talking to himself. After twelve or so vines, Diddy does a small flip off the last one, landing on a part of the boardwalk leading to Cranky's Cabin. Just after he lands, he starts singing and doing some really smooth dancing. Some of his dance steps are really cool! I like how near the end he does a kind of jump and lands with his left leg on the other side, that looks pretty groovy. Anyway, after a bit, he hears something, stops dancing and jogs off to Cranky's (which he is right near anyway). Over at Cranky's Cabin, this is when Diddy looks inside and sees the Crocks and Cranky around the coconut. Diddy backs off after a while and heads for Bluster's factory...) 10/ The camera zooms in towards the factory then fades to the inside, showing Candy at her conveyor belt controls and baby DK in a padded & blanketted half-barrel beside her to the right. Then Bluster walks up to Candy, probably asking her out, he distracts her and when she turns back baby DK is gone! Candy is shocked and worried about the poor little ape's safety as the camera zooms out still facing her. She looks on as she sees the little guy at the far end of the conveyor belt. He goes through the barrel maker and is put inside a barrel! Candy stops the machines straight away and goes over to see if he's OK. Baby DK sticks his head in and out of the barrel quickly a few times, then reaches up to Candy when she looks down at him. Relieved that he is OK, Candy returns him to his barrel, and returns to her controls. Not caring either way if DK was alright, Bluster walked passed hitting the start button on his way through. Just then, Cranky appears in ghost form behind Candy, startling her a little. Soon baby DK notices Cranky's form, and tries to fight him, hitting at him and annoying the old ape. Cranky dissapears again and baby DK doesn't know where he went, DK jumps up onto Candy's control panel, looking for Cranky. As he jumps up and down on the buttons, the machines all speed up and the little Donkey Kong gets lost among them again! ~~ADD BREAK~~ 11/ Barrel factory - Candy is searching for Baby DK. Just in time, Diddy arrives and Candy tells him what happened. Diddy notices baby DK in a barrel, and bravely gets on the conveyor belt to follow him. As Diddy nears the end of the main belt, he doesn't notice the barrel stamper at the end and his head gets stamped! He ducks as the conveyor belt takes him through a hole to the barrel testing/shipping area, and not watching his step, he falls off the end of the belt! This place is dangerous now, with barrels flying in all directions he's lucky to get out of there alive! 12/ Cranky's cabin - The Kremlings were still standing around the coconut, but a barrel came rolling through the doorway and bumped into the CC stand, knocking the crystal coconut into the air! It's falling to the ground and there's no-one there to catch it! Oh wait, yes there is - baby DK, who was in the barrel catches the coconut! Then he starts dribbling it like it is a basketball! Shortly Diddy ambles in, surprised to see DK bouncing the most prized possession of the island on the ground! When Baby DK notices Diddy, he makes a long pass which Diddy catches in his left hand. He then made some kind of remark, turned around and ran out the door with little Baby DK pursuing him slowly. With a sigh, K. Rool and his men return to their base to formulate a maticulous plan... 13/ Outside DK's - Back at DK's house, Diddy and Baby DK are guarding the coconut. Soon some Kritters and General Klump rock up in trigger barrels. The Kritters fire out Klaptraps at the hut and the scaly scamps start eating everything in sight. Baby DK, who is holding the Crystal Coconut pretends he's a cowboy and imagines his hands are guns. He and Diddy look at a light blue glowing circle on the floor around them. Just as Klump and the Kritters use the trigger barrels to get onto the balcony (Klump does a rather impressive fowards flip), the floor underneath the two monkeys gives way. Klump and his Kronies looked inside, but were surprised to see a hole in the floor, and no-one inside! On the ground, K. Rool approached Baby DK, who was still in possession of the CC. K. Rool tried to coax DK into giving it to him. I think he was pretending to be a basketball player so Baby DK would pass to him, but Baby DK refused. K. rool, after failing to be convincing, put his face right up to the baby's, attempting to be intimidating. Standing his ground, the li'l tyke stared the big reptile down. Then, in a bright flash of light, K. Rool was left staring at DK's belly as the thrilla gorilla reverted to normal size. K. Rool knew he had bitten off more than he could chew this time, Klump and the Kritters (who were still up in DK's condo, looking down through the hole in the bottom) slunk back, afraid of Donkey Kong. The Kremling King backed away, hoping to talk is way out of a klobbering. Unfortunately for him, the future ruler of Kongo Bongo wasn't in the mood to hear him out. Instead, baring his teeth, Donkey Kong punched K. Rool hard in the face. 14/ K. Rool's cave - Up close on K. Rool's podium. Bruised and beaten, K. Rool sits on his stool, his loyal General Klump standing behind his right shoulder. K. Rool has two black eyes and holds in his left hand a red potion, he talks to Klump for a while, then gulps down the potion. Klump is shocked by the flash as the potion taks effect. With just his crown left as it falls down and spins on his seat, it looks - from Klump's point of view - as though his king has vanished! Apon closer inspection however, K. Rool has shrunk so much that he fits inside his own crown! Just before the end credits K. Rool can be seen waving his fingers of his left hand. ~ THE END ~ Note: Since I don't get the channel DKC is on, I'm relying on a buddy of mine to record it for me. The recording I got had no sound whatsoever, so I can't tell what they say. When I do get a recording of any episodes with sound, I'll make an effore to fully script them. That oughta help fill this section of my site up a bit :).
